MISSION
Our mission is to mobilize Kenyan residents in the state of Michigan for the purpose of addressing problems facing us, providing a support network and a vehicle for our expression and enjoyment, and actively helping members in the furtherance of their personal and community goals.
GOALS
In order to achieve the mission of the Association, the goals for the Association shall be:
- To promote harmony and unity among Kenyans.
- To promote African Cultural awareness and to educate our children and communities about African culture and Kenya in general.
- To acquire, disseminate, and share information on Kenya with social, cultural, and business organizations in the United states interested in Kenya.
- To provide advice and help Kenyans in need.
- To assist new arrivals in the area to adjust to their new environment.
- To serve as a link among Kenyans, the Kenyan embassy, African organization, and other groups.
- To raise funds for projects initiated by the Associations and to seek the help of American friends in responding to emergencies both in Kenya and the United States, and contributing to causes which promote the welfare of Kenya and Kenyans.
- To address poverty health issues, and homelessness among members.
